Floor Truss Time

Today we started putting on the floor trusses. We left the outside forms on and the scafolding so it was easier to put the trusses on.

This morning we got delivery of the trusses from Gangnail. We also started to remove the inside forms and get ready for the beam. The concrete pouring went well the walls look good.

Today we got a pumper truck and Cindercrete in to poured the foundation. We had a good crew helping. Went off without any problems.

We poured the footings, the last pile and the concrete pads for the telepost on the tuesday morning because Monday we got some snow. You can see the keyway in the footing in the one picture.

This morning we got up early to meet Serbu at the house to drill the last pile. He bent some rebar while doing it. Then after lunch we went to security to get some lumber to start the footings. We had to put a key way in the footing.

First Delivery of Concrete

Friday afternoon we got Cindercrete to bring the concrete. It was a very messy job. The guys that brought the concrete were really nice guys. It took two and a half truck loads of concrete for the 29 piles. Serbu was going to come back tomorrow morning to drill the last pile they forgot.

House layout and piles drilled

Today we staked out the hole for the house layout and the location of the piles. We got Serbu back to drill 30 piles. They ended up forgetting one pile in the den. The guy we had was really
fast. Once they were drilled we put two rebar in each hole.

We have a hole

Today Serbu came and dug the hole for us. They only had to dig 4 feet down. Very accurate dig.

Lot Survey

Today we started the process on the house. We had the lot surveyed by Fugro.
